Economics structure of Garut Regency from year to year is always dominated by the agricultural sector, especially food crops. With this composition Garut Regency can be said as agriculture based regency. Therefore, the policy of economics development of Garut ought to give special attention to the development of people economics especially in rural area, to improve prosperity of farmer.

Agricultural Competitive Product

  Competitive commodities are commodities that are grown based on the comparative and competitive advantages supported by the utilization of technology in accordance with the agricultural ecosistem to increase added value and multiplier effect on the development of other sectors (Agribusiness Department, 1997).
Elections commodity approach is based on the superior region (area) so that the market approach and is expected to ensure sustainability of production through the utilization of comparative advantages as a base area development (specific or local benefits), and the centers of the specific commodities to encourage inter-relation the dynamic interaction and raise the production sector and a dynamic market.
