Growing of Trading Activity
Trading companies which is classified by Categories i.e. trading of goods, trading of services and trading of services and goods as well.
The number of Trading Companies by categories in Garut Regency i.e. large scale was 3 units, Medium scale was 89 units and small scale was 1232 units, with the most of it’s alocation were in district of Garut Kota and district of Tarogong Kidul.
Meanwhile the number of kiosk and Los in markets in Regency of Garut in 2007 subsequent was 6.953 units and 5.278 units which is spreaded over in 19 location.
The problem of trading sector in Garut Regency are:
- Trading system has not run optimally, that is reflected from the pattern of the flow of goods from Garut regency still ranged around the local, West Java and outside West Java;
- Implementation of regional autonomy should be supported by the powerful trade sector. Till now, the sector still rely on products of agriculture and small industries, medium, therefore, necessary effort to factors that support trading activities;
- The limited of marketing distribution channel because of lack of market information;
- Products generated by the operators in Garut regency, in general, not meet the taste of the market in both design and diversification;
